The first approach reveals a soft, gentle apple impression.
The flavor gradually transforms into a fresh, juicy cherry. As the temperature drops, a pleasant bitterness creates a beautiful finish, like a high-grade oolong tea.

[About the farm owner BANEXPORT ]
Established in 2018, Finca Juan Martin is a BANEXPORT initiative aimed at returning to the origins of coffee cultivation as a means to learn, improve, and share knowledge and experience with coffee producers throughout Colombia.
This experimental space is a research farm dedicated to improving specialty coffee production and processing techniques, and also a testament to BANEXPORT's commitment to excellence and sustainability.
The name of the farm has special meaning. It was named after Juan Martín, the son of Julián Ruiz and Sara Porras. This event coincided with the birth of this wonderful project. Beyond its family symbolism, it represents the origin of this important journey in the production of high-quality coffee.
Aiming to promote excellence in Colombian coffee agriculture and achieve consistent, exceptional coffee profiles over the long term, every coffee variety grown on the farm undergoes rigorous evaluation to refine cultivation and post-harvest processing techniques, ultimately producing the highest quality coffee. This approach not only ensures excellent products but also contributes to the development of coffee-growing regions, job creation, improved quality of life for producers, and strengthening of local economies.
In addition to its commitment to quality, Juan Martín is also known for its environmental and sustainability initiatives. One of the most important initiatives is the installation of a solar power system at BANEXPORT's facility in Popayán, Colombia. This system features 488 solar panels and has a generation capacity of 201.6 kilowatts. This initiative reduces CO2 emissions by 105.3 tons annually, which is equivalent to planting 421 trees.
Another important feature is the employment model and employee support. Unlike industry norms, Juan Martín provides a safe working environment, fair wages, benefits, and training opportunities through workshops and meetings. This commitment to employee well-being and personal growth ensures a dignified workplace while also promoting their professional development.
Finca Juan Martín reflects BANEXPORT's innovative spirit and its determination to make a positive impact on coffee agriculture, the environment, and society. We hope that these efforts will inspire others striving for a more sustainable and equitable future.
[Information on Bourbon Sidra Variety]
Bourbon Sidra is an Arabica coffee variety native to Ecuador. Initially thought to be a Bourbon mutation due to its similarities, genetic studies have shown it to be 100% Ethiopian heirloom. The name Sidra is thought to derive from the presence of "cedar trees" in the same plot where this variety grew naturally. Sidra trees are medium-height with dark green leaves. The fruits are small and round, often turning a vibrant red when ripe. As this variety is not yet fully stable, there is some variation in shape and flavor.
Sidra coffee offers a unique cup. It is characterized by notes of menthol and citrus. In recent years, its excellent flavor profile has gained recognition, but its limited production makes it a rarer choice.
